Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's role in making the country secure. While taking a dig at Congress, he said that the country was plagued by terror attacks almost every day during their rule.
Amit Shah, addressing a public event in Dadiya village, Jaipur, said, "The biggest thing Modi ji has done is to make the country secure. During Congress's tenure, there were frequent terror attacks. Modi ji conducted a surgical strike after the Uri attack, an airstrike after the Pulwama attack, and Operation Sindoor after the Pahalgam attack. We have sent a strong message to the world that there will be consequences if India is attacked."
He also said that under PM Modi's leadership, India has become the fourth-largest economy in the world. "Under the leadership of Modi ji, India has become the fourth-largest economy in the world. Additionally, 27 crore people have been alleviated from poverty," he said.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, also addressing the event, highlighted that his government, referred to as a "double-engine government," is focused on supporting the poor and the youth. He mentioned the provision of interest-free loans of up to ₹1 lakh under the Gopalak Yojana, with over ₹300 crore in such loans distributed so far.
The Chief Minister also announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to take strict action against paper leak cases. He reported that more than 5,000 young people have recently been given government jobs, and advertisements are being issued for the recruitment of 28,000 positions. The target is to provide government jobs to four lakh young people in the next five years.
