Invest in Alembic Pharma, says Dipan Mehta

Dipan Mehta, Member at BSE & NSE told CNBC-TV18, "The second line pharmaceutical companies' results have been quite impressive. We saw Torrent Pharmaceutical today and the other day there was Cadila Healthcare as well and now looking forward to earnings numbers coming through from Aurobindo Pharma as well as Ajanta Pharma. I think all companies in which we have investments who are recommended to our clients." "I think the mantle has shifted in the pharmaceutical industry from Sun Pharmaceutical, Lupin and Dr Reddy's to a smaller extent to the second line pharmaceutical companies which are following similar strategies as the largecap pharmaceutical companies and a lot of them are getting very good results. We saw the results of Alembic Pharmaceutical also which were quite impressive. So, that I think is a good investment theme that investors could latch on to," he said."However, other than that so far, far more disappointments in the earnings season and fewer ideas coming through from an investment point of view than we have seen in the earlier earnings season. So I am getting a bit skeptical about the market going forward and we could be in for maybe slightly some turbulent weather going forward."
