Barclays Cap sees Nifty rangebound in near term

Global markets have remained in a bearish phase since February 2011, says Jordan Kotick of Barclays Capital. He says, ultimately, this is a correction and in the medium-term he sees upside in the equity markets around the world. On India, he says the risk is still downside vulnerability on both the bourses, Nifty and Sensex.

Global markets have remained in a bearish phase since February 2011, says Jordan Kotick of Barclays Capital. In an interview on CNBC-TV, he says, ultimately, this is a correction and in the medium-term he sees upside in the equity markets around the world. While he sees a correction taking place in global equity markets, he says to hold that buy call as the time is still not right.

On India, he says the risk is still downside vulnerability on both the bourses, Nifty and Sensex.
