SocGen overweight India despite expensive valuation

Most analysts feel that liberalization of the FDI policy will help boost the Indian economy to a greater extent. In an interview on CNBC-TV18, Todd Martin, Asia Equity Strategist at Societe Generale said that he is slightly overweight on India despite expensive valuations.

India ranks among one of the most promising emerging markets in the global economic scenario. The Indian government has also taken certain crucial measures to boost the foreign fund flow by relaxing the FDI norms. Global thinkers feel that liberalisation of the FDI policy will help boost the emerging market like India to a greater extent. In an interview on CNBC-TV18, Todd Martin, Asia Equity Strategist at Societe Generale said that he is slightly overweight on India despite expensive valuations.

In fact, he is more confident that emerging markets including India are going to deliver on earnings in the coming quarters. He strongly feels that despite facing crisis situations like Japan earthquake and tsunami, emerging markets have been capable of maintaining the FII flow.
