JSW MG Motor India rolls out charging superapp 'eHub' for EV owners

It enables access to the almost entire charging network of the country through partnerships with leading providers like Adani Total Energies Limited (ATEL), BPCL, Chargezone, Glida, HPCL, Jio-BP, Shell, Statiq, Zeon, and many others who shall be on-boarded soon

In order to address the challenge of range anxiety being faced by existing Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) owners, JSW MG Motor India has partnered with leading charging infrastructure players for the rollout of a unified charging app named ‘eHUB’. To be available in 11 languages and open to all brands, the integrated mobile app will enable EV users to plan their routes as per availability of charging points and charge their vehicles on the move.

The 'eHUB platform is introduced for locating, reserving, and paying for charging stations. It has already partnered with leading providers like Adani Total Energies Limited (ATEL), BPCL, Chargezone, Glida, HPCL, Jio-BP, Shell, Statiq, Zeon, and many others who shall be on-boarded soon.

“At this point of time, there are 12,000 DC (Direct Current) in the country and around 8,000-8,500 of them are there on our app, revealed Rajeev Chaba, CEO Emeritus of MG Motor India, adding, “These are all Fast Chargers for passenger vehicles and will be available on our app but will be offered to all brand owners.”

The company has also clarified that chargers operated by Tata Power cannot be used through the eHUB app.
