Tata Motors's new top gun Mayank Pareek acknowledges that the carmarker has its work cut out. Pareekh, who spent more than two decades with Maruti Suzuki before joining Tata Motors seven weeks ago, is working on a multi-pronged strategy to revive the company's passenger vehicle unit, whose market share is languishing at 5.1 percent.
This strategy includes launching two new models each year, setting up a dedicated team for customer satisfaction, driving deeper penetration into rural markets as well as driving sales through segmentation.
Pareek says all these strategies are centered around the customers' need and based on that Tata Motors is developing products, developing global products.
