Man with the midas touch: See how India Inc views N Chandra

N Chandrasekaran formally took over the chairmanship of Tata Sons -- the holding company of the USD 100 billion Tata group -- on Tuesday as he now moved to operate from the corner office at Bombay House.Chandrasekaran, widely know as Chandra, will also be the chairman of Tata group's crown jewel TCS.As the public spat between Cyrus Mistry and Tata Sons is still being settled behind courtroom doors, Chadra has a tough task cut out for himself.Members of India Inc seem to put their weigth behind the man who has led TCS in becoming an IT behemoth.In an interview on CNBC-TV18, Suresh Senapaty, former CFO of Wipro said that N Chandrasekaran has shown leadership and the results delivered by TCS have been stellar. His elevation to Tata Sons’ chairman has been an excellent move, he said. In the same interview V Balakrishnan, former Infosys CFO, said that N Chandrasekaran is a very down to earth person and he is able to connect with people very easily. "Chandra is the right man for the right job who brings a lot of experience, maturity and midas touch," he said.

Vineet Nayar, former CEO of HCL Tech also shared his views and said that N Chandrasekaran has been amongst the top 5 business leaders in the world. "Chandra's ability of rallying a very large organisation together in a unique direction in a symphony is a mark of a leader," he said.Watch video for more.
