To gain the most health benefits from your first meal, French biochemist Jessie Inchauspé recommended some delectable savoury options in her new video. The good news? They don’t cause a blood sugar spike, and some of them don’t even require cooking.

If you have little time in the morning and can barely get yourself out of the bed to get ready, then this is for you. Jessie, who goes by the name of Glucose Goddess on Instagram, suggested the following options which don’t require cooking.

For those who crave sweets in the morning, she said, “If it’s hard for you to completely give up the sweet foods in your breakfast as you work your way towards doing that, what you can do is have sugar at the end of your breakfast and you'll create a smaller glucose spike.”
