Suffering from Chronic kidney disease (CKD) can feel overwhelming. However, taking small, manageable steps toward better health can lead to significant improvements. from a kidney-friendly diet to staying active,  it is important to take charge of your kidney health.

Chronic kidney disease is becoming common in India. Therefore, understanding the risk factors and acting on them can help slow the progression of the disease, says Dr Shital Lengade, Nephrologist, Nephroplus. “Unfortunately, many people remain unaware of their kidney health until complications arise. the screening and early evaluation of kidney disease (SEEK) study found a high prevalence of ckd at 17.4 percent, highlighting the urgent need for regular check-ups and better access to healthcare,” he adds.

Dr Lengade suggests the following key steps to manage CKD effectively
