Falling asleep as soon as you hit the bed can be a struggle for many people. It is thus common to find many taking medications and supplements for relief. While they may provide relief, there are ways to sleep faster and naturally with simple tricks that are easy to do.

Secret to sleeping faster naturally

Dr Trisha Pasricha, a Harvard scientist, in one of her Instagram posts, shared that wearing cozy socks to bed was as effective as melatonin for sleep. In fact, it’s not just limited to socks, there are other ways to warm your feet and prep the body for sleep, which work as replacements for sleep medications.

“Warming up your feet is scientifically shown to induce drowsiness, and it is just as effective as many over-the-counter sleep medications,” she said. And if socks are not your thing, she suggested taking a warm shower one to two hours before hitting the bed or just soaking your feet in warm water for about ten minutes.
