Shah Rukh Khan, widely regarded as the “King of Bollywood,” has built a legacy that extends beyond the silver screen. One of the most significant milestones in his life has been acquiring his iconic Mumbai home, Mannat, which is valued at over Rs 200 crore. More than just a luxurious residence, Mannat holds deep emotional and spiritual meaning for him, symbolizing security, stability, and family legacy.

In a throwback video, Shah Rukh Khan spoke about the challenges he faced in purchasing the house and why it meant so much to him. Reflecting on the journey, he admitted, “It’s one of the most difficult things I’ve done in my life… is to buy this house. I don’t have a house anywhere in the world. I didn’t have a house because my parents died. I have a house fetish. I want a house. I have always wanted a house.”

For Shah Rukh, Mannat is not just a residence but a symbol of his family’s legacy. When he started a family, he was determined to fulfill his dream of owning a home, ensuring that his children and future generations would have a place to call their own. “When I had kids, I got this house. It’s my family’s house,” he explained. The emotional connection he has with the property is evident in his decision that Mannat will always remain within the family. He emphasized, “We took a decision, we’ll always live in Bombay. So my great-grandchildren are going to live in this house like some old Parsi family.”

Beyond being a family home, Mannat also represents security and stability for Shah Rukh. He strongly believes that no matter what happens in his professional life, his home should always remain untouched. “My office, if there was a problem, they can take it away. My studio, they can take it away. But my house is for the security of my wife, my sister, and my two children,” he declared.
