The finale of the Indian edition of the reality game show The Traitors streamed on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday, July 3, unveiling its much-awaited winners. To the delight of fans, Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther emerged victorious in the intense final showdown, taking home the title and splitting the prize money of Rs 70,05,000.
In the dramatic finale, which was hosted by Karan Johar, Uorfi and Nikita used their keen intuition and cunning to navigate through treachery and deceit. Apoorva Mukhija was eliminated in the notorious Circle of Shaq, which opened the final episode. As the episode went on, traitors Harsh Gujral and Purav Jha "murdered" Jasmin Bhasin during the game, reducing the number of finalists to five: Uorfi, Nikita, Sudhanshu Pandey, Harsh, and Purav.
The pivotal moment occurred when Uorfi overheard Purav and Harsh discussing their next steps as traitors in the billiard room. Equipped with this information, Uorfi expressed her suspicions during the last Circle of Shaq, which led to Purav's dismissal. Then, having faith in one another, Uorfi and Nikita voted Harsh and Sudhanshu out, who turned out to be a fellow innocent caught in the crossfire.
turned out to be a fellow innocent caught in the crossfire.Uorfi and Nikita were officially declared the show's winners after all traitors were eliminated, leaving just the two women remaining. Visibly overcome, Uorfi said she was shocked to win as an innocent person and described the win as a powerful warning to those who misjudged her.
Interestingly, that Nikita Luther's journey came full circle because she had unexpectedly left on the first day, only to come back and win in the grand finale. As she told Uorfi about the victory, her excitement was evident.
In the final twist, Karan Johar disclosed that the contestant would have received the full prize if either of the finalists had been found to be a traitor. However, the money was divided between the two winners, who were both innocent.
Celebrating her win, Uorfi shared a powerful transition video highlighting her journey—from being eliminated by Karan Johar on Bigg Boss to being crowned the winner of The Traitors by the same host.
She wrote a long note in the caption that read, "From losing big boss (being the first one to be eliminated) to winning the traitors. The journey wasn’t easy, how many times I’ve cried, I’ve had so many breakdowns, wanted to give up, wanted to leave everything and run away. Being called names, getting death, rape threats, the online hate, the offline hate but I never stopped. Maybe the universe knew I needed this."
She continued, "When I lost Big boss I thought I lost my last chance at success or at having a good life, had taken udhaar from friends to get clothes to wear on big boss. At that time I didn’t even know if I would ever be able to repay that udhaar. People have always doubted me, even right now but this still won’t stop me. The hate never has, never will stop me. I took out 3 traitors, that can’t be luck. Till the last moment I didn’t give up. Strategised."
The first Indian season of The Traitors featured 20 contestants including well-known names like Karan Kundrra, Raftaar, Mukesh Chhabra, Anshula Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, and Ashish Vidyarthi. Packed with suspense, strategic gameplay, and shocking eliminations, the show kept audiences hooked till the very end.
Fans can now stream all 10 episodes of The Traitors Season 1 on Amazon Prime Video. The makers have already confirmed that Season 2 is in the works, raising anticipation for what lies ahead in the high-stakes game of trust and betrayal.
