The wait for Kamal Haasan’s next big venture just got more exciting. On the occasion of his birthday, the makers of his upcoming film, tentatively titled KH 237, unveiled the core technical team of the project. Backed by Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), Kamal Haasan’s home banner, the film marks the directorial debut of acclaimed stunt choreographers Anbariv.
Sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse from pre-production, RKFI took to X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Hunt mode on,” alongside photos of Kamal Haasan and the team in discussion. The tweet has since sent fans into a frenzy, eager to see what the actor has planned after the massive success of Vikram (2022).
Malayalam screenwriter Shyam Pushkaran, known for his National Award-winning work in Maheshinte Prathikaaram and Kumbalangi Nights, will pen the screenplay for KH 237.
The film will also feature music by popular Malayalam composer Jakes Bejoy, who recently earned acclaim for his intense background score in Lokah: Chapter 1. Cinematographer Sunil KS, editor Shemeer KM, and production designer Vinesh Banglan have also joined the crew.

Vinesh Banglan is an art director celebrated for his striking work on Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1, known for its earthy, rooted visuals. Tuney John has been brought on board as the film’s publicity designer, rounding off what appears to be a formidable technical lineup.
The twin brothers Anbumani and Arivumani, popularly known as Anbariv, have previously choreographed some of Indian cinema’s most iconic action sequences, including those in KGF, Vikram, and Beast. With KH 237, they step into the director’s chair for the first time.
Though the cast remains under wraps, industry buzz suggests that the film could be a gritty action thriller in Kamal Haasan’s signature style.
In addition to KH 237, Kamal Haasan’s RKFI banner is producing another monumental project Thalaivar 173, starring Rajinikanth and directed by Sundar C The film marks the first collaboration between Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in over four decades, and is slated for a grand Pongal 2027 release under Red Giant Movies.
