From the moment it hit theatres on October 2, Kantara: Chapter 1 has struck a powerful chord with audiences and critics alike.
The numbers speak for themselves. On day one, the film collected a massive Rs 88 crore gross. Day two saw a minor decline to Rs 65 crore, but the weekend saw a 25% increase, reviving the momentum. Saturday collections jumped to Rs 82 crore, and by day three, the film had already crossed the Rs 235 crore mark globally. Sunday saw yet another surge, pulling in Rs 61.5 crore nett (after taxes), bringing the four-day India nett total to Rs 232.75 crore.
