James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash trailer was recently released online, sending the fans into a frenzy. The trailer featured breathtaking visuals, but the thrilling debut of Oona Chaplin as the film's villain, Varang, captured most attention.

However, fans have traced the Game of Thrones connection and suggested that the actress, known for playing Talisa Stark, the Queen in the North from Game of Thrones, took over the dark command of a Na'vi rebellion with fire and fury.

The trailer introduces Ash People hooked to Varang's character, leaving the fans eager to see the back story. She declared in the clip, “Your goddess has no dominion here,” a bold defiance of the planet’s goddess Eywa sparked a wave of excitement among fans, who are calling this the beginning of Chaplin’s “villain era.”

Several fans took to X (formerly Twitter) and cited the GOT connection. One person wrote, “just realized LADY TALISA IS CHARLIE CHAPLIN'S GRANDDAUGHTER?? i've been watching films and series oona has been in for forever (somehow i mistook her for christin milioti) but i never got to know her name i just see her everywhere. Anyways yeah this is crazy news to me.”
Another added, “the queen of the north becoming the leader of the ash people…my worlds are colliding.”

Third fan penned, “Omg oona !!!!! Loved her in game of thrones and black mirror !! Charlie Chaplin acting genes are strong in her !!”
However, fans also recalled Oona Chaplin’s character’s tragic end. In the series, Talisa Stark and the baby in her womb were stabbed to death in a brutal and shocking end at the infamous Red Wedding scene, in Season 3.
