Nick Jonas recently opened up about the adorable nickname "National Jiju" bestowed upon him by Indian fans. During an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show, the singer explained that the term translates to "elder sister's husband" and he has been lovingly called Jiju ever since his marriage to Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.

Nick expressed his fondness for the title, highlighting the warm and welcoming nature of Indian fans. He shared that the nickname has made him feel like an honorary member of the Indian family.

In a conversation with Jimmy Fallon, Nick stated, “As you know I am married to Priyanka. When we got married this hashtag started. I was ‘National Jiju.’ Jiju means elder sister’s husband, so effectively I’m the older brother to India.”

The Jonas Brothers, especially Nick Jonas, were met with an overwhelming reception when they performed at Lollapalooza India in January 2024.
