Hip-Hop rapper Drake is not just a musician but a certified mastermind gambler. The Canadian artist has just scooped up a whopping Rs. 7 crore after betting on the India vs Pakistan match at the T20 World Cup on Sunday.

In a thrilling T20 World Cup match on Sunday night, India emerged victorious over Pakistan by a narrow margin of six runs. Notably, the “Hotline Bling” rapper had bet on India to win, staking a substantial Rs. 5 crores. In a now-expired Instagram story, Drake shared his excitement about the bet, writing, "We are 1 for 1 on cricket bets. Let's start the run.”

According to a report by the UK publication Mirror, Drake has allegedly scored a significant win of £715,000 (approximately Rs 7.58 crore INR), with £204,000 (around Rs 2.16 crore) being pure profit. "The result saw Drake take home a total prize of £715,000 and £204,000 in pure profit. The bet is just the latest in a long line of stakes that the rapper has put down,” the report noted.

For those unfamiliar, India competed in their second match of the tournament on Sunday against Pakistan. India batted first but posted a modest total of 119 runs, losing all wickets within 19 overs. Pakistan initially seemed strong, causing concern among Indian supporters. Nevertheless, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya turned the game around. Bumrah took three wickets for just 14 runs, while Pandya claimed two wickets, conceding 24 runs.
