Anne Hathaway is the queen of relatability. The ‘Idea of You’ actress wore a custom Gap (you read that right) shirt dress for an event hosted by the jewellery giant Bulgari in Rome.
The Oscar winning actress wore a gown designed by Zac Posen, who is now the creative director and executive vice president of the popular clothing brand Gap.
The white dress drew inspiration from the Audrey Hepburn classic ‘Roman Holiday’.
“It’s a modern look, inspired by the iconic Audrey Hepburn film, Roman Holiday,” the release statement read.
The look was symbolising "a blank canvas to express one's style and creativity," the brand revealed in a statement.
The dress aimed at recreating the Gap classic shirt collar and placket with the gown "but added a feminine twist with darting at the waist and a coordinating corset.”
The one side off shoulder dress is the length of the floor with buttons similar to a shirt. Underneath, Hathaway donned a semi sheer corset and custom matching pleated shorts. She completed the look with a silver purse and white pumps.
Hathaway wore her hair open and swept back. The ‘Get Smart’ actress sported gorgeous makeup with a pink lip, a subtle brown smokey eye and a little rouge on the cheeks.
The ‘Ocean’s 8’ star accompanied the pearl white Gap dress with a lot of Bulgari jewellery. The actress wore a sapphire and diamond necklace and a matching sapphire ring. Hathaway wore a diamond Serpenti bracelet and sparkling earrings.
The dress was made particularly for the ‘Princess Diaries’ star but Gap is planning on selling the dress online without the shorts.
The actress was joined by Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra Jonas who debuted a pixie cut for the high profile event. The actress wore an off shoulder white and black floor length dress.
Hathaway and Chopra are global ambassadors for Bulgari and were captured at the Bulgari event last year in Venice with Zendaya and LISA of BLACKPINK.
