The much-awaited political thriller 'Match Fixing', directed by Kedaar Gaekwad, has announced a new release date. The film is now scheduled to hit theaters on January 17, 2025.

Originally set for release on November 15, the film's premiere was postponed due to legal issues. One of the delays stemmed from a petition filed in the NIA court by an individual linked to the Malegaon Blast case, who expressed concerns that the film might impact public perceptions of his ongoing trial.

In response to the concerns, the producers of 'Match Fixing' clarified that the film has no connection to the Malegaon case. The producer further explained that the film is inspired by the book 'Truth Behind Saffron Terror', written by retired Colonel Kanwar Khatana and published in 2020.

The book, explores a narrative of alleged political conspiracies and cross-border intrigue involving intelligence agencies of India and Pakistan.
