Actress Shilpa Shirodkar, the sister-in-law of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, has reportedly been confirmed as a contestant for the highly anticipated Bigg Boss 18.
According to a report by The Indian Express, Shilpa will join the star-studded lineup of contestants in this upcoming season, set to premiere on October 6. With Salman Khan returning as the host, Bigg Boss 18 is already generating major buzz.
Shilpa Shirodkar is no stranger to the entertainment industry. She made her Bollywood debut in 1989 with Ramesh Sippy’s Bhrashtachar, starring alongside Mithun Chakraborty and Rekha. Her career flourished in the 90s with films such as Kishen Kanhaiya (1990) opposite Anil Kapoor, and popular titles like Hum (1991), Khuda Gawah (1992), Aankhen (1993), and Mrityudand (1997).
After a hiatus of over a decade, Shilpa made a successful comeback to acting with the Zee TV series Ek Mutthi Aasmaan in 2013, showcasing her versatility across both film and television.
In addition to Shilpa, reports suggest that several other notable celebrities will be entering the Bigg Boss 18 house. Among the rumored contestants are actor Nyrraa Banerji, who was a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi, and television actors Shoaib Ibrahim and Dheeraj Dhoopar.
Although actor Isha Koppikar was initially in talks to participate, she has since opted out of the show.
The excitement around Bigg Boss 18 reached new heights with the release of its latest promo. The promo, featuring Salman Khan, teases the season’s intriguing theme: "Time Ka Tandav" (the havoc of time).
In the clip, Salman is seen standing atop a massive ticking clock, surrounded by hourglasses, masks, and cameras, hinting at a new dimension where the show will explore not just the present, but also the past and future. Fans are eager to see what unpredictable twists this season has in store, especially with Salman Khan at the helm once again.
