The marriage of Payal Rohatgi and Sangram Singh is once again the talk of the town, but regrettably, for all the wrong reasons.
With rumours and public arguments taking centre stage in the news, what once seemed to be a solid, stable partnership now feels like it's going through one difficult phase after another.
When Payal abruptly left Sangram's charitable trust, the issue first gained attention and it sparked curiosity.
Fans then became concerned when a video of a furious argument between the two appeared online, making matters worse. Furthermore, new rumours that Sangram is related to another actress, Nikita Rawal, have surfaced, which has only fuelled the flames.
Over recent months, fans noticed Sangram and Nikita interacting more and more on social media — heart emojis, affectionate comments, the kind of stuff that naturally sets off dating rumours. An insider told IANS, “Both Nikita and Sangram have been very discreet about their relationship, but they are quite serious about each other. They wanted to keep it away from the limelight until they felt comfortable."
Apparently, the two have been quietly seeing each other for about six months, and their bond is getting stronger. It’s no surprise that this has stirred talk of tension between Payal and Nikita, though none of them have spoken publicly about it.
The divorce rumours really took off back in July when Payal shocked everyone by quitting her role as director of Sangram’s charitable foundation, citing “personal reasons.” She posted a resignation letter on Instagram with the caption, “Sometimes peace looks like distance," and added the hashtag “Ladki Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon.” That cryptic message set tongues wagging. After her departure, Sangram’s sister, Sunita Kumari, stepped in to run the foundation.

But this isn’t the first time things have seemed rocky. Back in December 2024, a viral video showed the couple in a tense argument. Payal accused Sangram of mistreating her because she couldn’t conceive. She later clarified she had muted some of Sangram’s words in the clip and insisted she was not the abusive one. In the video, she says, “Tumhare ghar mein aurato ke sath aise baat ki jaati hai. Tum log padhe-likhe nahi ho theek hai, par aise baat ki jaati hai." She also warned Sangram not to ever taunt her about motherhood again.
Payal and Sangram tied the knot on 9 July 2022 in a quiet ceremony in Agra after dating for several years. While their relationship has always had its ups and downs, the recent turbulence is clearly testing their bond like never before.
