Catherine Zeta-Jones’ daughter, Carys Zeta Douglas, turned heads in New York City this week when she stepped onto the red carpet wearing one of her mother’s classic looks, a lace-accented black gown that Zeta-Jones first wore two decades ago.

The 22-year-old Brown University graduate attended the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala with her father, actor Michael Douglas, proudly reviving the same dress her mother wore to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. Styled with pointed black heels and ruby-hued earrings, Carys brought a youthful freshness to the vintage piece while keeping its original elegance intact.

Douglas, 81, complemented his daughter in a tailored black suit with a collared shirt and purple tie. Speaking to People, he revealed that Catherine couldn’t join them at the event because “she’s working,” adding, “I’m sorry Catherine’s missing it tonight. I’m very happy that Carys could be with me, just to be with her, but also I’m on the board here at PAC.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones originally styled the same gown in 2005 with black fringed stilettos, a matching clutch, and diamond jewelry. Interestingly, the design has its own celebrity history — actress Keira Knightley also wore it in 2004 for the King Arthur premiere, according to Page Six.
