Hrithik Roshan is all set to embark on a new creative journey, this time going behind the camera. The actor is reportedly making his debut as a producer under his home banner, HRX Films.
According to recent reports, the production house’s first project will be a high-voltage web series for Amazon Prime Video.
While Hrithik had previously held a silent producer credit for Super 30 (2019), this marks his first hands-on venture as a full-fledged producer. As per PeepingMoon, the actor has been nurturing the idea for nearly three years and is deeply involved in developing the script, assembling the creative team, and overseeing production.
The untitled web series is expected to be a social thriller filled with sharp turns, layered characters, and an emotionally charged narrative. Though official details about the cast and crew remain tightly guarded, early buzz suggests that the project will focus on a strong mix of entertainment and substance. Production is expected to begin by the end of this year.
Interestingly, even as he takes on his producer’s role, Hrithik’s acting and directorial commitments continue in full swing. The star is reportedly gearing up to direct and headline Krrish 4, slated for release in 2026. The film will mark his return as India’s beloved superhero.
Recently Hrithik opened up about the poor performance of War 2 at the box office. "Playing kabir was so much fun. So relaxed , knew him so well. It was going to be easy. Finally a movie I could do like so many others do, keep it simple , play the actor, do your job and come home. And it was exactly that. I was taken care of so well by my director Ayaan. It was such a pleasure to have his energy on set. Everything seemed so perfect. Like it's meant to be. A sure shot. No worries , just needed to do my job right. Which Ofcourse I did. But something was lurking behind that presumptuous certainty. A voice that I kept shutting out.."this is too easy ... I know this too well." And another that said "I deserve it , every film doesn't have to be a torture and trauma and an incessant search for the truth of the moment....just relax." he wrote on Instagram.
War 2, an installment in the YRF SpyVerse, was directed by Ayan Mukerji and also starred Kiara Advani.
