Akshay Kumar has recreated the iconic 2007 song “Uncha Lamba Kad” from Welcome for his upcoming film Welcome to the Jungle, now featuring Disha Patani. While giving the song a fresh twist, Akshay paid a nostalgic tribute to his former co-star Katrina Kaif, writing, “Never forgetting our Queen Katrina.”

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif were one of the fans’ favourite on-screen couples in the industry during the 2000s. The duo shared the screen in several movies and gave their fans a number of catchy songs.

Akshay and Katrina’s most popular song at the time was "Uncha Lamba Kad," from the 2007 movie Welcome. The song has remained popular with viewers for years. However, Akshay has recently recreated the song without Katrina but made sure to give a shout-out to her.

Akshay Kumar took to her Instagram and shared a short teaser for the new version of the song, which seems to have been reimagined for his upcoming movie, Welcome to the Jungle.
In the video, Akshay and Disha Patani, who co-star with him in Welcome to the Jungle, were seen strolling past one another while swaying to the funky beats of the song Uncha Lamba Kad. The video ended with Akshay saying, "We miss you, Katrina.”

Alongside the video, the actor penned in the caption, “From our hearts to yours!! What a throwback, 18 years & still an all time favourite. With so much nostalgia, beautiful @DishPatani & I bring you ‘Welcome to the Jungle’… Never forgetting our Queen Katrina (red heart emoticon).”

For the unversed, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have collaborated on eight Bollywood films, including Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006), Namastey London (2007), Welcome (2007), Singh Is Kinng (2008), Blue (2009), De Dana Dan (2009), Tees Maar Khan (2010), and Sooryavanshi (2021).
