A few days ago, Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary unfollowed each other on social media, sparking rumours of a possible break-up. Now, in a recent turn of events, Ankit has confirmed his exit from the show Tere Ho Jaayein Hum, where he was supposed to star alongside Priyanka. His departure has only intensified the speculation surrounding his relationship with the actress.
Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Ankit addressed his exit, stating, "I backed out of the project with Ravi-Sargun. I don’t think that I would be able to do something for that project right now. And maybe I need some time for myself to rejuvenate and recharge myself."
The pair had earlier captured the audience's hearts with their captivating on-screen chemistry in Udaariyaan and later on Bigg Boss, which elevated them to the status of fan favourites.
Despite the drama surrounding their relationship, Ankit refused to comment on the ongoing break-up rumours when approached by India Forums. When asked directly about the speculation, he simply stated, "Not commenting on that." Interestingly, even after unfollowing each other, the pair has kept their pictures together on social media, leaving fans to speculate about what’s truly going on behind the scenes.
The timing of these events comes just after rumours surfaced that the two were considering marriage. Their unexpected social media actions have left fans uncertain about where they stand. Priyanka had openly expressed her feelings for Ankit during Bigg Boss 16, while Ankit remained relatively reserved about their relationship.
Nonetheless, their frequent public appearances, joint projects, and affectionate posts had kept the fanbase, lovingly dubbed “Priyankit”, hopeful for their future together.
