Renowned filmmaker and actor Aamir Khan met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Tuesday, June 24 as he hosted a special screening of his latest film, Sitaare Zameen Par.
Following the screening, President of India took to social media shortly after the screening, posting a photograph with Aamir Khan, captioning the picture, "Acclaimed filmmaker and actor Shri Aamir Khan called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan."
At the Presidential Residence earlier in the day, Aamir also had a quick but amicable meeting with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said in a statement that the encounter was unplanned and took place while Siddaramaiah was in the country for an official meeting with President Murmu.
Since its June 20 release, Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par has won over hearts with its moving narrative and garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews from both reviewers and viewers. Additionally, the movie is doing well at the box office.

Ten neurodivergent child actors—Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar— made their Bollywood debut in the endearing story, also starring Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in the lead roles.
The film's poignant lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and its soul-stirring musical score by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are contributing to its widespread appeal.
