Andhra Pradesh recorded an estimated voter turnout of 68.20% in the phase 4 of Lok Sabha elections. All 25 seats of the state went for polling today.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena reported that polling is still underway at some polling stations because number of voters is on higher side.By 10 pm, we will close the remaining polling stations also. Up to 5 pm, we had 68 per cent polling, he added

All eight constituencies in Prakasam district recorded voter turnout of 74.21% out of total 18.22 lakh registered voters.

Andhra Pradesh CEO, Mukesh Kumar Meena, reported that despite the cut-off time being 6 pm, polling is underway at many polling stations across state. he assured that each and every voter, who entered into the polling station premises would be allowed to cast their vote.

Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered a detailed inquiry into alleged attack by the YSRCP sitting MLA Annabathuni Sivakumar on a voter who was in queue to cast his vote at Polling Station number 115 of Ithanagar in Tenali Assembly Constituency in Guntur district today. A video went viral where Sivakumar was seen slapping the voter. The voter also slapped the MLA in retort following which YSRCP MLA attacked the voter

Andhra Pradesh recorded voter turnout of 68% across all 25 seats in the state. Nellore recorded voter turnout of 69.95% out of overall 19.44 lakh registered voters in eight Assembly constituencies. Kandukur and Kovur constituencies saw the maximum turnout with 74.68% and 73.59% respectively.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mukesh Kumar Meena reports that the three TDP polling agents who were allegedly kidnapped in Chittoor district were traced and rescued. The TDP agents were kidnapped from Bokaramanda village in Chittoor district's Sadum mandal, which falls under the Punganuru Assembly constituency.

With 56.34% of the vote, the Pithapuram Assembly constituency has the highest polling percentage at 3 pm. The nominee for this seat is Jana Sena Party Supremo K. Pawan Kalyan. Collector and District Election Officer J. Nivas reports that the Tuni Assembly constituency had the lowest voter turnout in the district, at 49.88%

SP of East Godavari district, Jagadeesh P informed that people have turned up in large numbers in the morning to avoid afternoon heat. On long queues, he said, it takes 20-30 seconds for votes for to be casted because of its own technical procedure, because of which there are huge lines (queues), which will be subsiding in some time

Polling has ended early in Araku, Paderu and Rampachodavaram Assembly constituencies in Alluri Sitharama Raju district as the district is a LWE-affected district.

Andhra Pradesh recorded 40.26 per cent voter turnout for the 25 Lok Sabha seats and 175-seat Assembly at 1 PM in the state, an Election Commission app said on Monday.

In the tribal regions of the Alluri Sitharama Raju district, voting is proceeding quickly. As of 1 p.m., 32.46% of voters had cast ballots in the Araku Assembly Constituency and 31.38% in the Paderu Assembly Constituency. A similar percentage of 34.43% voted in the Rampachodavaram Assembly Constituency. Given that there are significant lineups at the polling places in the agency regions, the authorities anticipate a further increase in the polling percentage.

Andhra Pradesh recorded 23.1 per cent voter turnout up for the 25 Lok Sabha seats while it was 23 per cent for the 175-seat Assembly up to 11am in the state, an Election Commission app said on Monday.

Commissioner of Police (CP) Ravi Shankar Ayyanar says, "Elections are being held here in Visakhapatnam city, more than 5000 personnel are deployed here. EVMs are working everywhere and voting is going on peacefully in all seven constituencies...We have made elaborate security arrangements, so I urge all voters to go and vote for the best person, best party...''

- Andhra Pradesh recorded 9.05 per cent voter turnout up for the 25 Lok Sabha seats while it was 9.21 per cent for the 175-seat Assembly up to 9 am in the state, an Election Commission app said on Monday.

- The polling is scheduled from 7 am to 6 pm in the state, barring a few places where it will conclude one or two hours earlier.

- Governor S Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu along with their respective family members, were among the early voters in Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

9.05% voter turnout recorded till 9 am, in the fourth phase of elections in the southern state.

- The Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency has emerged as the battleground between brothers K Srinivas of Andhra Pradesh's ruling YSRCP and K Sivanath, candidate of the main opposition TDP in the May 13 Lok Sabha polls.

- While Srinivas is a seasoned politician, a transport tycoon-turned-politician, his younger brother Sivanath, also a businessman, is trying his electoral luck for the first time. Srinivas (58), the older brother, was a key TDP leader until some months ago but differences with some party leaders at the local and state level compelled him to jump ship to the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP in January, according to his supporters.

- One of the main reasons attributed to the exit of Srinivas from TDP was the party's decision to replace him with Sivanath as the candidate for the Lok Sabha election. Popularly known as Kesineni Nani and the owner of the now defunct Kesineni travels company, Srinivas, a Parliamentarian for nearly a decade, had also resigned as an MP when he had quit the TDP.

After an intense campaign marked by fervent speeches from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and several other prominent leaders across political parties over the past several weeks, polling began at 7 am today.

Voters in Araku (ST) will see a competitive contest between Appala Narsa of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)], Chetti Tanuja Rani, and Kothapalli Geetha of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In Andhra Pradesh, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), comprising the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), the Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and the Jana Sena Party (JSP), is gearing up for a high-octane face-off with Jagan Reddy's YSR Congress.

Over the years, the BJP has managed to increase its seat and. vote share in the south, but its performance has not quite mirrored the party's absolute dominance in the northern states, especially since 2014. Read more.

- In the state, the YSRCP is running for all 175 Assembly seats as well as 25 Lok Sabha seats.
- The TDP was given 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha seats as part of an agreement amongst NDA allies to share seats, while the BJP would run for six Lok Sabha and ten Assembly seats.
- The Janasena is going to run for 21 Assembly seats and two Lok Sabha seats.

Family vs family has been a recurring theme in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. This Andhra Pradesh constituency is set to witness another such clash. YS Sharmila, the Congress chief in Andhra Pradesh, is facing her cousin and incumbent MP YS Avinash Reddy. Reddy is part of YSRCP, the party led by Sharmila's brother and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Kadapa has been a stronghold for the YS family for several decades, with political representation from Jagan Mohan Reddy, his father, YS Rajasekhar Reddy, and Vivekananda Reddy. Sharmila's entry into the political arena, therefore, not only challenges her cousin but also directly confronts her brother, the chief minister, highlighting a significant familial and political divide.

- 284 MPs have already had their destiny determined by the first three rounds of the Lok Sabha elections.

- All seats in the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, Karnataka, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Sikkim, and Tripura, as well as the union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman, Diu, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry, have already had their votes counted.

- May 20 and May 25 will mark the start of the fifth and sixth phases, respectively, before the election moves forward to the seventh and final phase on June 1.

The southern state has 4.14 crore voters overall, made up of 2.02 crore men, 2.1 crore women, 3,421 voters of third gender, and 68,185 service electors.

With a few exceptions, where it will end one or two hours earlier, the polls will open at 7 AM and close at 6 PM throughout the state.

The Election Commission has deployed 1.06 lakh security personnel to ensure a peaceful conduct of the polls. Among them are 3,500 police officers from Karnataka, 4,500 police officers from Tamil Nadu, 1,614 ex-servicemen, and 246 retired police officers.

- Actor and Janasena head Pawan Kalyan (Pithapuram), TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu (Kuppam), and YSRCP president Jagan (Pulivendula) are among the candidates running for the Assembly poll.

The 18th Lok Sabha Elections' fourth phase will see 96 seats spread across nine states and one union territory up for vote on May 13.In this stage, elections will be held in 17 Telangana constituencies and all 25 Andhra Pradesh seats. Thirteen seats in Uttar Pradesh, eleven in Maharashtra, eight in West Bengal, eight in Madhya Pradesh, five in Bihar, four in Jharkhand and Odisha, and one in Jammu and Kashmir will also be up for vote.
