Tata Motors will open bookings for the Tata Sierra 2025 on December 16, setting the stage for customer deliveries that begin on January 15, 2026. The company is positioning the Sierra as its latest entrant in the mid-size SUV segment, expanding its SUV portfolio that currently includes the Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier and Safari.
The Sierra 2025 enters the market at an introductory price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors is expected to announce the complete variant-wise price list next month. With the booking window now confirmed, the company is preparing for demand across seven trims -- Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+.
The Smart+ sits at the bottom of the line-up, while the Accomplished+ is the top-spec version. This spread indicates a strategy aimed at covering multiple customer profiles, with differentiated features, powertrains and transmissions across the trims.
On the design front, the Sierra 2025 carries forward the well-known blackout B-pillar and wrap-around glass effect. The feature list includes Light Saber LED DRLs, single-piece tail-lamps with animation, flush door handles, a clamshell tailgate, a dual-tone roof and a hidden rear wiper. Wheel options vary by trim, ranging from 17-inch to 19-inch alloys. The SUV will be available in six colours -- Pristine White, Pure Grey, Coorg Cloud, Munnar Mist, Bengal Rouge and Andaman Adventure.
Inside the cabin, the Sierra continues Tata's recent emphasis on digital interfaces. A natural-tone soft-touch dashboard, floating design elements and a driver command centre set the theme. The highlight is the Horizon View triple-screen layout comprising a 12-inch infotainment unit, a passenger screen with wireless support for gaming accessories, and a rear entertainment system under the Theatre Pro umbrella. The setup supports Mappls Auto navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 18 JBL Black audio modes, Dolby Atmos 5.1 and user-defined sound profiles.
Comfort features include front ventilated seats, a 6-way powered driver seat with memory, a thigh support extender, dual-zone automatic climate control, a BreatheIQ purifier with AQI display, and 65W USB-C charging ports in the front and rear. The Sierra offers 32 storage spaces, a powered tailgate with gesture operation, Boss Mode, adjustable rear headrests, and a 622-litre boot.
The iRA connected suite provides 75 functions, including personalised driver profiles through MeSpace, remote cabin pre-conditioning, alerts and pre-delivery customisation. The Sierra is also India’s first ICE model with integrated 5G connectivity, enabling OTA updates for up to 10 ECUs.
Safety and driver-assistance systems include ADAS Level 2+ with 22 functions, a 360-degree camera with 4Sight blind-spot monitoring, HypAR-based heads-up display with 19 visuals, Night Saber Bi-LED booster headlamps, six airbags, all-disc brakes, electronic parking brake with auto-hold and stability control features.
The powertrain mix spans three engine options. A new 1.5-litre Hyperion T-GDi petrol (160PS, 255Nm) is paired with a 6-speed torque-converter automatic. A 1.5-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol (106PS, 145Nm) offers 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCA choices. The 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel (118PS, 260/280Nm) is available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque-converter automatic options. Drive modes include Sport and Normal, while terrain modes cover Normal, Wet and Rough.
