Tata Motors today opened bookings for its flagship electric SUV, the Tata Harrier.ev. Prospective buyers can reserve one for themselves by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000 via the company's official website or at a dealership.
In the nascent passenger electric vehicle (EV) segment in India, the Tata Harrier.ev will take on the Mahindra XEV 9e and the BYD Atto 3.

The Harrier.ev has both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and quad-wheel-drive (QWD) configurations.

There are two battery packs on offer -- 65 kWh and 75 kWh.

The Harrier.ev RWD has a single motor at the rear, delivering 238 PS of maximum power and 315 Nm of peak torque. The QWD version has a motor each at the front and rear, generating a combined 313 PS of maximum power and 504 Nm of peak torque.

The Harrier.ev RWD gets both 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options. However, the Harrier.ev QWD can be had only with 75 kWh battery pack.

Tata Harrier.ev features
The flagship Tata electric SUV boasts features like a Samsung Neo QLED-powered 14.53-inch touch infotainment screen, JBL Black 10 speaker system with JBL audio modes and Dolby Atmos, e-Valet auto park assist, and voice-assisted panoramic sunroof. There is a transparent mode (540-degree surround view) that beams what is beneath the vehicle on the infotainment screen. There are six terrain modes, including normal, grass/snow, mudruts/gravel, sand, rock crawl and a user configurable mode.
Tata Harrier.ev safety
The Harrier.ev recently scored a five-star safety rating at the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP). The electric SUV bagged five stars in both adult occupant protection and child occupant protection (COP) categories.
Among the standard safety features in the Harrier.ev are six airbags, electronic stability program, electric parking brake with auto hold, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill descent control, hill hold control and acoustic vehicle alert system.
