Creta emerges best seller in June. Dzire, Ertiga, Swift shine even as SUVs dominate

The Hyundai Creta has been garnering handsome sales this year as it yet again emerged as the best-selling model in the country in June. While SUVs continued their dominance, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Maruti Suzuki Swift kept the respective sedan, MPV and hatchback flags high during the month.

The SUV segment had six models among the 10 best-selling cars in India in June. The hatchback segment had two models, and the MPV and sedan segments had one model each.

Out of the 10 largest-selling cars in India in June, six were from the country's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India. Two models represented Tata Motors, while Hyundai Motor India and Mahindra & Mahindra each had one model.

After being the country's top-selling model in March and April, the Hyundai Creta took the numero uno position in June as well, with sales of 15,786 units. It beat the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which recorded sales of 15,484 units. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza took the third position, posting sales of 14,507 units.
