Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced the 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition in India, bringing new styling and feature enhancements to its popular premium SUV. The refreshed edition builds on the 2024 version's success, targeting buyers seeking a sportier appearance along with a more feature-rich experience.
Bookings for the 2025 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition will open in the second week of October 2025 through Toyota dealerships and the brand's official website. While Toyota did not announce the price of the SUV, buyers will have to contact the dealerships for the price.
The new Fortuner Leader Edition gets cosmetic updates such as a redesigned grille, front and rear bumper spoilers, chrome accents, and a distinctive hood emblem. A dual-tone roof in black, combined with glossy black alloy wheels, enhances its road presence. The SUV will be available in Attitude Black, Super White, Pearl White, and Silver colour options.
Inside, the SUV features dual-tone black and maroon seats, door trims, illuminated scuff plates, and auto-folding mirrors. It also gets an upgraded tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as part of its safety package. The cabin continues to focus on comfort and practicality while adding a touch of sportiness.
Powering the 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition is Toyota's 2.8-litre diesel engine, producing 204PS of maximum power. The engine develops 420Nm of peak torque with a 6-speed MT and 500Nm of peak torque with a 6-speed AT. It is available in rear-wheel-drive (4x2) configuration.
Toyota is offering several finance and ownership packages, including funding plans of up to eight years, Toyota Smart Balloon Finance, extended warranty options, and the Toyota Smiles Plus service program. Buyers will also get five years of complimentary roadside assistance and a 3-year/1,00,000km standard warranty, extendable up to five years or 2,20,000km.
Since its India debut in 2009, the Fortuner has sold over 3,00,000 units, maintaining its position as one of the country's most trusted full-size SUVs. The model is known for its durability, strong resale value, and off-road capability.
