Zoho Arattai has managed to gain immense popularity over the past few weeks, the made-in-India messaging app has literally broken the internet with over 100x surge in download numbers. However, that has happened, the app is actually pretty capable with almost every feature that the world’s most popular messaging app – WhatsApp – offers. Be it chat, sharing documents, audio and video calls and even channels, or groups. But, there’s one feature that the Arattai app is still missing in 2025 and it is perhaps the high time Zoho should add it if it wants to compete with WhatsApp.

There are multiple features that the Arattai app does not offer when compared to WhatsApp, but there’s one feature that’s actually worrying for users and it is a major security compromise for users’ data, especially when compared to WhatsApp.

Well, it’s “end-to-end encryption”.
Is it completely missing from the Zoho Arattai app?
No, it is not. The app actually has end-to-end encryption available for voice and video calls. Where it does not offer is in chats. Or, we can say that Zoho does not explicitly mention that the chats are end-to-end encryption.
What the FAQ page does mention is that the data is being saved and stored within the country and it is secure and is not being shared by anyone.
