Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has launched its new budget smartphone, the Redmi 14C, in India today. The new 5G smartphone has been unveiled in three colour options with a glass back and boasts a large 6.88-inch display with peak 120Hz refresh rate support. Further, it is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and carries a 5,160mAh battery.
Xiaomi Redmi 14C: Price and availability
The Redmi 14C has a starting price of Rs 9,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB RAM and storage models are priced at Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 11,999, respectively. It is available in Starlight Blue, Stardust Purple, and Stargaze Black colour options and all three variants come with a glass back design.
The first sale of Redmi 14C 5G will start on January 10 at noon. It will be available through Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com, and Xiaomi’s offline retail stores.
Xiaomi Redmi 14C: Features
The Redmi 14C 5G features a 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering up to 600 nits of peak brightness. Additionally, the display is certified by TUV Rheinland for flicker-free visuals and eye comfort. In terms of optics, the smartphone features a dual-camera set-up at the back with a 50MP primary sensor. It also has an 8MP camera at the front for selfies and video calls.
The phone runs Android 14 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS skin on top. The company has confirmed that the phone will receive two years of Android updates and four years of security updates. Further, the Redmi 14C is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip and features a 5160mAh battery with 18W wired charging support.
The Redmi 14C 5G offers up to 128GB storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
