Truecaller has introduced Scamfeed, a new feature aimed at empowering users to combat fraud collectively. The feature, available within the Truecaller app, enables users to report, discuss, and learn about ongoing scams in real time. It is being rolled out in India first, with a global expansion expected later.

Scamfeed functions as a live, user-powered stream that shares verified scam alerts. People can post their experiences, flag suspicious calls or messages, and read about new fraud tactics. It supports anonymous reporting, threaded discussions, and multimedia uploads. Content can also be shared to platforms like WhatsApp for broader awareness.

According to Truecaller, the tool offers more than just scam reporting. It serves as an early warning system, helping users identify red flags and avoid potential threats. The company has also launched a companion website — www.truecaller.com/scam-alert — that includes guides on how to detect and report scams.

“Scamfeed harnesses the collective vigilance of millions of Truecaller users in India,” said Tonmoy Goswami, Product Director of New Initiatives at Truecaller. He added that it offers a platform for users to exchange real stories and warnings, promoting smarter and safer communication.
