What the Perplexity Email Assistant does
The Email Assistant integrates directly with Gmail and Outlook, acting as a digital secretary that learns from your communication style and habits. It prioritises messages, identifies important threads, and generates replies that sound like you. Users can issue simple prompts such as “Summarise today’s important emails” or “Show me unread messages from clients,” and the assistant will instantly organise and display results.

How it works
To get started, users simply email assistant@perplexity.com from their registered address. Once activated, the AI scans and categorises emails in real time, automatically tagging them under labels like “Action Required,” “Urgent,” or “Follow-Up.” It can also participate in ongoing email threads when CC’d, suggesting replies, scheduling meetings, or flagging key tasks. The assistant works seamlessly across both desktop and mobile, making inbox management consistent and efficient wherever you are.
