Oppo has confirmed key details about its upcoming Reno 15 series ahead of its launch in India. The lineup will include three phones: Reno 15 Pro, Reno 15 Pro Mini, and Reno 15. The biggest change this year is the introduction of a smaller Pro Mini model, aimed at people who prefer compact phones that are easier to use.
A new look for the Reno series
The Reno 15 phones come with a redesigned back panel. Oppo says it uses a layered glass finish that changes slightly when light falls on it, giving the phone a bit more depth compared to earlier flat designs. The camera section sits more smoothly on the back instead of looking like a separate block.
The Reno 15 Pro will be available in Sunset Gold and Cocoa Brown. The Pro Mini adds a Glacier White option with a textured finish, while the regular Reno 15 comes in Glacier White, Twilight Blue, and Aurora Blue.
First Pro Mini in the Reno lineup
For the first time, Oppo is launching a Pro Mini version in the Reno series. The Reno 15 Pro Mini has a 6.32-inch screen and a lighter body, making it easier to hold and use with one hand. Oppo says the move is based on feedback from users in India who want smaller phones without giving up on premium design.
More focus on strength and protection
Oppo has also worked on making the Reno 15 series tougher. The phones use a metal frame and an internal structure designed to reduce damage from accidental drops. All three models come with protection against dust and water, including splashes and brief exposure to water.
Bright AMOLED screens across models
All Reno 15 phones use AMOLED displays with smooth scrolling and clear colours. Screen sizes vary, with the Reno 15 Pro featuring a 6.78-inch display, the Pro Mini a 6.32-inch display, and the Reno 15 a 6.59-inch display. The screens can refresh faster when needed and slow down during normal use to save power. Brightness also adjusts automatically depending on lighting conditions.
With the Reno 15 series, Oppo seems to be focusing on design changes and practical improvements rather than major overhauls. Pricing and launch dates are expected to be announced soon.
