Oppo is reportedly planning to launch its Find X9 series in the coming months in its homeland, with a global launch set to happen early next year. The Chinese smartphone maker is expected to bring major upgrades over its Find X8 series, with major changes in the camera and battery department. Now, a new leak has claimed that the Oppo Find X9 Ultra will ship with a much larger battery than its predecessor, while keeping the same fast charging speeds and a slimmer form factor.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra: Expected battery, chipset details
According to popular Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, a flagship smartphone from Oppo will feature a dual-cell 7,000mAh battery that comprises two 3,425mAh cells. The purported device referred to in the Weibo post is likely to be the upcoming Find X9 Ultra, which will succeed the Find X8 Ultra, which came with a 6,100 mAh battery. Moreover, the company will pack these dual cells to maintain the phone's thin form factor.
While the upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra might feature a higher-capacity battery, it is tipped to support the same charging speeds as the Find X8 Ultra, with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Further, the phone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, as per previous leaks.
An earlier report suggested that the Oppo Find X9 Ultra will feature a quad rear camera setup with two 200MP and two 50MP dual-periscope lenses with adjustable focal lengths. However, since the Find X8 Ultra never made it to the Indian market, it would be interesting to see if Oppo will bring the Find X9 Ultra to India next year.
