Taiwan-based laptop brand MSI has revealed its manufacturing plans in India. In a press release, the company said that two models — MSI Modern 14 and MSI Thin 15 — are now being produced locally at the company’s facility in Chennai.
To make the laptops more accessible, MSI has partnered with major retail brands like Croma and Reliance Retail.
John Hung, General Manager for Notebooks at MSI India, highlighted India’s importance to the brand. He stated that India’s expanding tech ecosystem and rising demand for advanced laptops have encouraged MSI to start local production. Hung emphasised that this move not only enhances MSI’s operational efficiency but also demonstrates the brand’s commitment to delivering innovative and high-performance products tailored for Indian users.
MSI Modern series

These laptops feature a lightweight build, ample storage, reliable connectivity, and long battery life, making them ideal for both work and entertainment. MSI Thin series
Meanwhile, the MSI Thin Series targets gamers, creators, and multitaskers who demand power and portability. With plans for even more advanced configurations in the future, this series offers great value for performance-driven users. The India-made Thin 15 laptops are available at a starting price of Rs 73,990.
