Indian smartphone brand Lava has introduced a new budget smartphone, named the Shark 5G. With this device, the company aims to offer a dependable and stylish smartphone experience at an affordable price. Here is a look at its price, specifications, availability, and other details.
Lava Shark 5G: Price, availability
The Lava Shark 5G will be available in Stellar Gold and Stellar Blue colour shades. It is priced at Rs 7,999 for a single variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Lava is also offering a Free Service@Home program for Shark 5G buyers, in addition to a standard 1-year warranty. It will be available across Lava retail outlets and Lava e-store starting today.

The Lava Shark 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Unisoc T765 chipset, a 6nm octa-core processor that also supports 5G connectivity. The device comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and there is support for 4GB of virtual RAM. In terms of storage, the Shark 5G has 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and users can expand it further up to 512GB using a microSD card.
For photography, the Shark 5G has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Moreover, a 5000mAh battery powers the device, and it supports 18W fast charging. However, the company only ships a 10W charger in the box. The device also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options include dual 5G SIM support with SA and NSA 5G bands, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port.
