Honor has launched its first budget smartphone, the Honor 200 Lite, in India today. It is the third smartphone from the Honor 200 series in the Indian market and is the first sub-Rs 20,000 phone from Honor Tech. The Honor 200 Lite 5G price in India is available for Rs. 17,999 for the sole 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option. It will have its first sale from 12 AM IST on September 27 via Amazon, the Explore Honor website, and select mainline stores.
Honor is also offering Amazon Prime members 24-hour early access to buy the phone as part of the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2024 starting from September 26. SBI debit and credit card customers will get an additional Rs 2,000 off.
Honor 200 Lite: Specs, features
The Honor 200 Lite 5G has a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ 90Hz AMOLED screen with 2,000 of peak brightness and TÜV Rheinland flicker-free support. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and it can be virtually expanded up to an additional 8GB.
It runs on Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0 out-of-the-box. The phone gets a bunch of AI features like MagicLM, Magic Portal, Magic Capsule, Magic Lock Screen, and Parallel Spaces. If we talk about its cameras, the Honor 200 Lite features a 108MP AI portrait camera on the rear, which is coupled with a 5MP wide and depth camera and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, it has a 50MP camera.
Honor has packed a 4,500mAh battery in the 200 Lite 5G with support for 35W wired fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, OTG, a USB Type-C port, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
