Apple devices are known for their interconnectivity and cross-device functionalities. Whether you take on a notification on one Apple device, it gets reflected on other synced Apple devices, and if you swipe it away from one of your devices, it automatically is synced and removed from other connected Apple devices.

Sadly, on Android devices, even if you dismiss a notification from one of your phones, it will still appear on your secondary phone or tablet. However, it seems Google is finally working on a solution to this problem. Android expert Mishaal Rehmaan via Android Authority has spotted a new code and strings in Android 15 QPR1 Beta 2 related to a ‘Sync Across Devices’ option under Notifications settings, which is expected to enable cross-device notification syncing.

In simpler terms, this feature might potentially dismiss any notification from all the other Android devices with the same Google account, after you clear any notification. Moreover, Mishaal also suggests that it won’t be a Pixel-exclusive feature as it was spotted in the AOSP class rather than Google’s native Settings class.

Its appearance in the beta version also hints that the feature isn't ready as of yet, and Google might release it officially with the upcoming Android 15 OS update. Currently, as a part of Android’s cross-device services, Call casting, and Instant Hotspot are available to seamlessly connect with other Android devices.
