Google’s next flagship smartphone series, the Pixel 10 lineup, is rumoured to launch on August 20. As the possible launch date draws closer, leaks surrounding the devices have started pouring in from multiple sources. Earlier this week, it was tipped that the next base Pixel model will likely come with a telephoto sensor for the first time. Now, a new report has suggested that the Pixel 10 family will get a significant upgrade when it comes to video stabilization, which would be comparable to that of a gimbal.

According to a new report from Android Headlines, the upcoming Pixel 10 lineup, which will likely include the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, will offer “heavily upgraded image stabilisation,” designed to match the performance of physical gimbals. While earlier Pixel phones already included reliable video stabilization, this feature is expected to raise the bar by providing stable video performance at par with any gimbal.

Google could market this feature as an ‘Action mode’ similar to the one found on the latest iPhones, where the phone fuses the footage from the primary and ultrawide sensors to record shake-free videos with minimal jitters. This could also make the upcoming Pixel 10 series an ideal device for vloggers, content creators, or users who often record videos on the go.
