As we move closer to the iPhone 16 series launch in September, Apple is also set to launch the next iterations of their Apple Watches. Coincidentally, the Apple Watch series is also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and now according to a new report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we could see significant changes to the Apple Watch Series 10 and Watch Ultra 3.
The report adds that the Apple Watch Series 10 models, codenamed N217 and N218, will have bigger displays. The larger variant will feature a 2-inch display, which is slightly larger than the Apple Watch Ultra’s 1.93-inch display. The Series 10 is also expected to have a thinner design.
Moreover, the report adds that the Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 3 will come with a more powerful processor than the current Apple S9 chipset. However, Gurman has refuted any claims that suggested that the upcoming Apple Watch chipset will have AI enhancements. He also claims that Apple doesn’t plan to bring its Apple intelligence features to the upcoming smartwatches.
The bigger display on the Apple Watch Series 10 could provide a more expansive viewing experience. This would also facilitate easier navigation and improved accessibility for those with visual impairments.
The report also claims that Apple plans to introduce new health monitoring features, including high blood pressure detection and Sleep Apnea detection, in the upcoming Apple Watch models. However, these features could also be delayed due to reliability issues in the testing phase and may be released via future updates.
