Apple releases public beta updates of macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and tvOS18: How to install, features

Apple has announced the availability of the first public beta updates of macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18, following their unveiling in WWDC 2024.

Apple has released public beta updates for all of its major hardware devices. After developer preview updates for macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18, were released after last month's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) event, the first public beta update previews the stable update, which is likely to launch in September.

Those who are interested in downloading the public beta update, can opt-in for the Apple Beta program. Next, sign in with your Apple account (Apple ID) and agree to all terms and conditions. After that head to the Settings app > Software Updates and here you will see Beta Updates. Turn on Beta updates. After that, the Public Beta update will be available for download.

Since these are public beta builds, it is not suggested to use them as a daily driver. Users are advised to install these updates on secondary devices, as the battery life could be irregular or some applications might not work smoothly.
