If you're someone who owns more than one Apple device like an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, keeping track of each one's warranty or repair plan can get a bit confusing and expensive. That’s why Apple has introduced something new called AppleCare One, a single monthly plan that covers multiple Apple devices. You can think of it as a combo offer for device protection.
So what exactly is AppleCare One?
AppleCare One is a subscription plan that starts at $19.99 per month (around Rs 1,660) and lets you protect up to three Apple devices. These could be your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or even a Mac. If you have more than three, you can add extra devices for $5.99 (roughly Rs 500) per month for each one.
The biggest advantage? You don’t have to buy separate AppleCare+ plans for each product, which usually costs more. For example, if you’re covering your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch separately, you might end up spending around $11 (almost Rs 900) more every month compared to this new bundled plan.
What does the plan include?
Everything you would normally get with AppleCare+, plus a bit more. That means:
--Unlimited accidental damage repairs (like drops, cracked screens, spills)
--Battery service coverage
--24/7 support from Apple experts
--Fast service from Apple-certified technicians
--Theft and loss protection, not just for your iPhone but also for iPad and Apple Watch
Can you add old devices?
Yes. Apple is now allowing customers to add devices they already own, as long as they’re in good condition and are less than four years old. This is a big deal because earlier, you had only 60 days from the date of purchase to buy AppleCare+.
What happens if you trade in your old device?
If you trade in your iPhone, for example, and get a new one from Apple, the old one will automatically be removed from the plan and the new one will be added. You don’t have to do anything manually.
When and where can you get it?
For now, AppleCare One is launching in the US from tomorrow. There’s no word yet on when it will come to India, but considering Apple’s growing presence here, it might be available soon.
