Amazon has announced that Alexa+ is getting a big new upgrade and it is coming to the web. The AI assistant, which launched nine months ago, now has a new home on browsers for early access users through Alexa.com. The company says people want Alexa everywhere, not just on Echo devices or phones, and this rollout is their answer to that demand.

To put things in perspective, there are already more than 600 million Alexa-enabled devices sold across the world. These include smart speakers, TVs, wearables, and even appliances. But Amazon noticed something interesting in the last nine months. People were chatting more with Alexa+, buying more through voice, and asking for recipes way more than before. In fact, conversations doubled, purchases tripled, and recipe requests went up five times. That gave Amazon one clear takeaway. Customers want Alexa wherever they are, whether they are cooking in the kitchen, traveling, or sitting at their laptops.

The new Alexa.com experience is built to do more than just answer questions. Users can open the website, log in with their Amazon account, and start chatting instantly. From quick facts to planning full travel itineraries, Alexa+ can now help from the browser itself. The assistant can also remember old conversations and preferences so users do not have to repeat themselves again and again. For example, if someone likes high-protein meals or avoids sugar, Alexa can use that to plan a full week's menu. It can even add all ingredients to an Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods cart in one go. What earlier took hours can now happen in minutes.

Amazon has also partnered with companies like Expedia, Yelp, Angi, and Square. This means users will soon be able to search and book services directly from Alexa+. Whether it is flights, restaurants, home repairs, or wellness appointments, Alexa+ will try to bring it all inside one experience. So if someone wants to book a hotel through Expedia or find a local service through Yelp, they can just ask Alexa instead of opening multiple apps.
