Adobe is set to bring its video editing software, Premiere, to the iPhone, with a preorder listing now available on the App Store and an expected release date of September 30.

The mobile version of Premiere will allow users to edit and export videos without watermarks, offering a range of tools similar to the desktop version. Users will be able to trim clips, layer content, and fine-tune frames. The app will also support automatic captions with stylised subtitles, multiple layers for video, audio, and text, and 4K HDR video.

In line with Adobe’s broader focus on AI, the iPhone version of Premiere will integrate features powered by Firefly models. Users will be able to generate images, audio, or videos from text prompts. Adobe is also providing access to its stock library of music, sound effects, photos, graphics, and videos, along with fonts and presets from Lightroom. The app includes an “Enhance Speech” tool to reduce background noise during recordings in noisy environments.

Premiere on iPhone will be free to use, although AI features and cloud storage will require payment. Adobe is also developing an Android version, though no release date has been confirmed.
