Adobe Firefly update brings full-stack AI video creation with voice, music and editing tools

Adobe has unveiled its most ambitious Firefly update yet, turning the once simple content generator into a full-fledged AI-driven production suite. The new version can now generate videos, voiceovers, soundtracks and even help creators brainstorm ideas. Firefly, Adobe’s flagship generative AI platform, now integrates AI across nearly every stage of video and image production.

The update introduces Firefly Video Editor, a web-based multitrack editing tool currently in private beta, which lets users generate, organise, and edit clips with “frame-by-frame precision or through a built-in transcript.” Users can also add AI-generated soundtracks, voiceovers and titles — or use existing footage enhanced with Firefly’s preset styles like anime, claymation or 2D art.

Adobe is also rolling out Generate Soundtrack, an AI-powered music tool that creates and syncs custom scores to match uploaded clips, and Generate Speech, which produces lifelike multilingual voiceovers with adjustable tone, pacing and emotion.

In addition, the update adds Firefly Creative Production, an AI-driven batch image editing tool that can automatically replace backgrounds, apply colour grading and crop images through prompts. Another feature, Firefly Boards, provides an AI brainstorming surface, while Rotate Object converts 2D images into 3D-like visuals for dynamic repositioning.
