After setting IPL 2025 on fire, Vaibhav Suryavanshi-Ayush Mhatre get ready for national duties against England

The 16-member India Under-19 team was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the forthcoming England tour on Thursday. 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Chennai Super Kings batter Ayush Mhatre, both IPL 2025 sensations, were part of the England tour group. In fact Mhatre will be seen leading the group and Abhigyan Kundu will serve as his deputy.

Suryavanshi scored 252 runs from 7 matches for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025, which includes the second-fastest century in the history of the competition. The teenager achieved the feat against the Gujarat Titans, when he reached the three-digit mark in just 35 balls.

Mhatre, on the other hand, was a late addition for CSK coming in for injured captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Despite the limited matches, Mhatre is currently the third highest scorer from the CSK camp. The 17-year-old opener batter accumulated a staggering 206 runs from six matches, which features a 48-ball 94 but in a losing cause against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
