NASA has confirmed that asteroid 2025 ME92 is on course. The rock is about 110 feet wide and is travelling fast. It will pass Earth on 31 July at a speed of 27,614 miles per hour. Its closest distance will be 2,320,000 miles.

While that may seem far, it's close by space standards. The asteroid belongs to the Aten group, known for crossing Earth’s orbit. Despite its size, experts say it poses no threat. NASA only labels space rocks as hazardous if they are closer than 7.4 million kilometres and wider than 85 metres. ME92 does not meet either condition.
